    Standard Chartered appoints Jan Metzger as Global Head of Coverage Banking

    Singapore / London, March 26, 2026 — Standard Chartered has appointed Jan Metzger as Global Head of Coverage Banking within its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division.

    Metzger joins the bank with over two decades of experience across Asia, having led multi-region businesses serving corporates, financial institutions and public sector clients across investment banking, credit and transaction banking.

    He joins from Citi, where he most recently served as Co-Head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific. His prior roles include Global Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking, as well as senior positions at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.

    Based in Hong Kong, Metzger will be part of the CIB Management Team and will report to Roberto Hoornweg, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate & Investment Banking.

    Standard Chartered said the appointment is aimed at strengthening its global coverage capabilities and supporting its cross-border banking strategy.
