Banking Herald respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit bankingherald.com, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information.
- Information you give us. When you email us, request a Leadership Perspective invitation or ask about partnerships, we receive your name, email address, organisation and whatever else you choose to share.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we record basic technical data such as your browser type, device, approximate location based on IP address, the pages you read and how you arrived. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for this.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and manage editorial or commercial enquiries
- To understand which stories readers find useful and improve our coverage
- To keep the website secure and running well
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember basic preferences, such as light or dark mode. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not.
Third parties
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider and Google Analytics. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is relevant to an editorial or business relationship. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, write to editorial@bankingherald.com.
Links to other websites
Our articles often link to company announcements and other sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
