Avaloq has named Nidhi Singh as its new Chief Product and Development Officer and a member of the Group Executive Board, starting September 7, 2026. The appointment comes as part of a planned leadership transition, with Fabio Baj stepping down from the board.
Working out of Avaloq’s Zurich headquarters, Singh will oversee global product strategy, product management, and the company’s development and engineering functions, taking charge of defining and delivering its product roadmap. She brings more than two decades in product development, along with a track record of leading large scale transformation projects.
She joins from Charles River Development, where she spent time as Chief Product Officer, leading product strategy, marketing and management across the firm’s institutional, wealth management and private markets businesses.
The timing lines up with Avaloq’s push to advance its Mid Term Plan 2030. Singh is expected to help shape the company’s strategic priorities and its next generation of technology for wealth management, while helping clients speed up their own digital transformation.
“We are delighted to welcome Nidhi Singh to Avaloq and our Group Executive Board,” said Martin Greweldinger, Chief Executive Officer at Avaloq. “Nidhi has successfully led major product organizations and delivered complex transformation programmes throughout her career. Her experience and leadership will be instrumental as we execute our product roadmap and continue to advance our vision of powering wealth globally.” Greweldinger also thanked Baj for his contributions to the company’s product strategy and software development over the years, and said Avaloq expects to keep drawing on his expertise going forward.
Singh, for her part, said she was looking forward to the new role. “I have spent my career building products that help financial institutions respond to changing client expectations and navigate complex market environments,” she said. “Avaloq has a remarkable heritage, a talented team and a compelling vision for the future, and I am thrilled to help drive the next phase of its growth.”
Herald View: The real story here is timing. A chief product officer with two decades of large scale transformation experience is stepping in just as Avaloq pushes forward with its Mid Term Plan 2030, right as a widely credited product architect in Fabio Baj steps aside. Whether Singh pushes the platform roadmap forward or simply keeps it steady will say a lot about how ambitious that 2030 plan really is.
