The Julius Baer veteran joins as the bank’s AUM surpasses $145 billion, ahead of target, under OCBC’s Asia Shift strategy
Bank of Singapore has appointed Vi Sun Yang as Head of Private Banking, ASEAN, effective 29 June 2026. She will join the bank’s global management committee, reporting to CEO Jason Moo.
In the role, Yang will lead strategic growth across ASEAN, the bank’s largest market, supporting OCBC’s broader corporate strategy, The Next Frontier, which includes an Asia Shift aimed at capturing rising Asian wealth flows.
The appointment comes after a strong 2025 for Bank of Singapore, which surpassed its 2023 target of $145 billion in assets under management and grew global AUM by more than 20%.
Yang brings over 30 years of wealth management experience, most recently as Market Head for Southeast Asia at Julius Baer. She spent 14 years at UBS Singapore in senior roles including Head of the Private Client Segment across seven Asian markets and Market Head for Indonesia, and has also held positions at American Express, DBS and Standard Chartered.
“Our continued ability to attract top talent like her underscores the strong appeal of our franchise and the confidence private bankers have in joining us on our growth journey,” said Jason Moo.
The hire follows other recent senior appointments at Bank of Singapore, including Eng Chien Chan as Market Group Head for Greater China and Bernard Heng as Head of Customised Solutions within its Investment Solutions Group, both announced in March 2026.
