Allianz Partners, a world leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, has appointed Carsten Staat as Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APAC & MEA), effective 1 August 2026. He reports to Jacob Fuest, Chief Markets Officer.
Staat has been with the Allianz Group since 2001. As Managing Director of Allianz Partners Germany for the past four years, he drove strong growth, elevated customer satisfaction, and secured strategically important partnerships that strengthened the company’s market position.
He succeeds Vinay Surana, who led APAC and MEA for six years and becomes Senior Advisor to Allianz Partners CEO Tomas Kunzmann from 1 August 2026 through year-end.
