He moves from Executive Director of Indian Bank, filling the role left vacant since K Satyanarayana Raju’s retirement in December 2025
The Indian government has appointed Brajesh Kumar Singh as Managing Director and CEO of Canara Bank, currently serving as Executive Director of Indian Bank.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Singh’s appointment effective from the date he assumes the post, running until April 30, 2029, his date of superannuation.
Singh succeeds K Satyanarayana Raju, who retired in December 2025, leaving the position vacant for several months.
