A year after buying KioSoft, PayRange has shaken up its top team. The Portland company, which runs payments and software for unattended retail, named four new executives on Monday.
Here’s who’s in:
- Charles Lee, Executive Chair. He ran KioSoft before the deal and had been Vice Chairman since. Now he steers strategy for the combined business.
- Kiernan White, Chief Operating Officer. Joined earlier this year. Owns operations, customer experience and scaling up.
- Jeff Piszczek, Chief Revenue Officer. New to the company, tasked with growing revenue and getting more customers on board across segments.
- Matthew Carlson, VP of Marketing. Brand, strategy and demand generation.
“We have assembled a strong team of capable executives who bring the experience, talent, and vision to take the company to the next level,” Lee said.
Founder and CEO Paresh Patel sees a sector in flux. “The unattended retail industry is undergoing a significant transformation, and PayRange is uniquely positioned to help drive that change,” he said.
PayRange works with laundry, vending, amusement and other small ticket businesses. It counts over 10 million users in more than 350 cities across the US and Canada.

Giving the chair to KioSoft’s old boss says a lot. PayRange’s next challenge is stitching two companies together, not building something new. These two spent nearly four years fighting over patents before settling with a $62 million licensing deal, and only then merged. Getting products, partners and staff on the same page will decide whether the acquisition was worth it. The new revenue hire shows they want to cash in on the combined customer base. Give it two quarters. No joint launches or big operator wins by then, and this is just a reshuffle.
