The former Deutsche Bank dealmaker brings over 25 years of experience as Standard Chartered builds out sector-led advisory capabilities
Standard Chartered has appointed Edward McBride as Global Head, Consumer & Retail, M&A Advisory, effective immediately. Based in London, he will report to Rajesh Singhi, Global Head of M&A Advisory.
McBride joins from Deutsche Bank, where he led coverage of large UK-based consumer, retail, leisure and lodging companies and private equity sponsors. He previously held senior roles at Citi and PAI Partners, bringing over 25 years of investment banking experience.
In his new role, McBride will help grow Standard Chartered’s global consumer and retail advisory franchise, deepening client relationships and strengthening the bank’s ability to execute complex cross-border transactions across its network.
“His deep expertise in Consumer and Retail, combined with his client relationships, will significantly strengthen our capabilities in one of our focused sectors,” said Rajesh Singhi.
